On The Downhill Slide

T minus 6 DAYS

And I will be done with the detox diet! Whoo-hoo! I'm going to try not to go crazy and pack back on ALLL this weight I've lost....

wait...
I've still not lost ANY weight.
Oh yeah... that's right. Diets blow.

Anywho, I'm still behaving myself, still working out, still truckin along believe in the "babe, your body composition is just changing". *sigh* Still nothing on the scales has changed. Like the day after I said I hadn't even lost a tenth of a pound, I lost like 0.6 lbs...buuuuutttttt, last night I gained back 1.2 lbs. Damn you fluctuating weight. Thankfully this morning I was back down 1 lb, but that still means I till gained 0.2. Errr. I need to stop weighing myself.

On a brighter side, I do think I'm shrinking in inches. I feel a little slimmer and my pants all feel a little baggier. And it seems like my face looks slimmer in the mirror. This could all be imaginary and me deluding myself into believing all this sacrifice and hard work is paying off, but just play along, k? J says he sees it too and keeps feeding my delusion so that helps. And luckily, neither J or I owns a measuring tape so there is no way to prove or deny my claims of slimdom to myself. Sweet. So until I take a picture of myself and prove that I without a doubt still own my double chin and mushy belly, I'm going to stick to my delusions.

AND, my first day of detox freedom just so happens to be ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!! Bring on the green beer! Also, as a reward for being SO good, J is taking me to Okie Joe's for supper that night ~ and probably a little Ben & Jerry's. SCORE! Something to look forward to, and definitely worth sacrificing a few more days. Ahhh...smell that? Its a newly refreshed diet optimism.

Happy Hump Day All!

Jason's Graduation: Part I

We drove to KC a couple days before Jason's graduation (Wed) since we had Jason's presidents dinner the night before. I love the big windmills in Oklahoma.  We made it into KC fairly late and got to our hotel The Great Wolf Lodge. The keys weren't in the packet when we got up to the room so daddy ran back down to get them while we waited in the hall. Brazos looks way too old throwin up the dueces in this pic... Daddy and Brazos trying on their wolf ears.  Brudders Hudson was very happy to be free of his car seat! Daddy took the boys to check out the hotel and get some energy out before bed while Hudson and I settled in. Everything was decorated for Christmas and was so beautiful! The next day I went into the office to work so daddy was at the hotel with the boys for the day, waiting on Mimi and Popo. They went to the restaurant downstairs for breakfast.  Probably the sweetest picture of those wolf ears you'll ever see in your life. <3 Thursday night, Jason and I went...

FAF: Another 1 Bites the Dust!

Starting weight: 166.4 Last week's weight: 163.8 Current weight: 162.8 Weight +GAIN / -LOSS this week: -1.0 Total weight lost: -3.6 Another week of weight loss! Whoop! Its not much but after another slow exercising week, I'll GLADLY take it! I'm very close [again] to what I weighed when I got knocked up with my pwecious little man so I'm feeling good about that fo' sho'... Working out this week has been rough. I haven't really made/had time for a good solid workout so I'm a little disappointed about that but...eh, I'll just keep squeezing them in there whenever I can and as much as I can. We have a gym membership over by my usual sitter so once she's off maternity leave, I'll be able to run to the gym at night before or after I pick up the monster. My diet this week has been unhealthy - not in what I've eaten, just the quantity. I've hardly eaten a thing! My dinner portions have been cut in half, if not more, so I feel that's a po...

Jason's Graduation: Part II

Dr. Allen, DC 4/5 of our marriage has been spent working towards this day. To say we are excited would be a great understatement. I can't even put into words how excited/happy/scared/proud/relieved, etc, etc, etc we are. There just are no words. Jason has worked tirelessly towards this goal. Countless hours of studying. Sacrificing time with me and the kids. And all the work he put in advertising and recruiting patients into the clinic. Personal training early mornings and late nights to help makes ends meet.  And I think of all the sacrifice we've made as a family. Living in a townhouse and then a tiny apartment. I've been the primary provider and a mostly single parent during some stages. And a constant cheerleader and standing behind pushing. We've both been pushing uphill for what seems like forever towards this goal. And we've made it. Not to discount his hard work, because he was the one who really accomplished this goal but I like to think we accomplished thi...
