A Girl and Her Boys

So, seeing this today on my blog made me bitter for a moment: "Only 1 days to go!" I feel like its mocking me...And yeah, I can tell the baby's the size of a watermelon - All I have to do is look down. Yep, watermelon's still there. How am I really doing? Honestly, I'm fine. Uncomfortable, but fine. I'll make it another week to my induction date if it comes to that. I have a doc appt tomorrow morning, on my actual due date, so I'll get to see him on the sono machine one last time and all I'm really hoping for is that I've made some progress on the cervix-thinning front. If I have, then momma will be happy. One. More. Week. Then the swelling in my hands and feet will go down (I know, I know - not right away but after a few days it will) and in a couple weeks (or 3 or 4) after that, I can start working out again and TRY to get my body somewhat back into an acceptable size/shape. My sweet, wonderful husband sent me a text message yesterday afternoon that said: "I have a surprise for you!!" Now, this isn't anything to get overly excited about - my husband says this often (he knows I love surprises) and its usually a Big Red or a movie he's rented that I've wanted to see or something of that nature. Not that I don't get excited and extremely appreciate these little things because I absolutely adore them, but I was expecting something along those lines when I asked "What is it??". Normally I get an obvious "I'm not telling - duh" response but he sent me a Hint instead... It took me a couple glances to make sure it actually read what I thought it read - OMG HE BOUGHT ME THE GLIDER AND OTTOMAN I WANTED FROM BABIES R US!!!!! HAPPY 6 MONTH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY TO MY HUBBY!!! LOVE YOU :o) Yesterday, Jason and I have been married for 6 months! Seems like a lot longer than 6 months ago and, at the same time, its gone by so fast. Its been a very exciting, very busy 6 months - and the next 6 are looking to be just as busy and exciting! Looking forward to the second half of our first year of marriage. Unfortunately, I forgot until this morning so I we didn't do anything exciting (not that a 6 mo. anna warrants a celebration) but I wanted to at least make a note of our little milestone.

Just a little note to let you all know, I'm still here waiting...still a waddling, swollen-ankled princess preggers. 12 Days to go till my due date. 12 days has never seemed so long, yet so short! I mean, I have 12 more days left (approx) of being pregnant, and the uncomfortableness isn't going to get any better. BUT, in 12 short days, my little man will be with us!! I feel like I'm not prepared even though we have everything pretty much ready to go. I have everything I need for him to be home with us, but I feel like I'm forgetting things or the house isn't clean enough, etc, etc etc... I'm sure that's a new mommy thing. And good grief, I could send myself into a full blown panic attack when I actually think about Labor/Delivery. So not ready for that part - well, I'm ready to get it done and over with! I think I'm more worried about how badly the labor part is going to hurt... I don't think I've had any actual contractions yet, just the Bra

Kind of sums up the past year and lets you see, overall, how great (or not so great) it was. Goodbye 2010! You've been great (for the most part) and I KNOW I'll never forget a single minute... 1. Welcome to a brand new year! 2010 was a CRAZY year full of some very big ups and a few crummy downs... Its been good overall but I'm very much looking forward to 2011. New Year's Resolutions for '11? Become a hot mom by this summer - going to take a lot of work and dieting on my end (will keep you posted on my progress, hopefully that will be just one more thing to keep me accountable). Also, I want to better document this next year than I did last year. That means more blogging, more pictures, more scrapbooking. Hope you all have a very blessed year full of lots and lots of UPS! :o)
