A Girl and Her Boys

Sheesh. I'm totally slacking on this pregnancy and keeping updated on my progress/weekly status. A lot has happened since 11 weeks so I'll try to give a brief recap. I had my next dr appt at 16 weeks and at the end of the spot I asked Dr Rips if there was anyeay we could find out the sex of the baby before Christmas so we could do a surprise gender reveal for our families. I thought for sure she'd say no because it was still really early. But she said " let me go see if the sonographer is busy.."  And she wasn't and squeezed me in! It's a BOY! I thought I'd be disappointed but I wasn't at all. There's been a few, I wish I could have a girl moments but I'm pretty much in love with this little guy already so I don't wish he was a girl at all. My sweet, silly, fiesty, high maintenance little cuddle bug. I can't believe you are already a year old! This past year with you has been a whirlwind of sleepless nights and snuggles. When you were a week old, we had our first visit from 911 emergency crew because you were choking. Then lots of scary projectile vomiting. RSV to celebrate your 2 month birthday. Did I mention lots of sleepless nights? But you also are so snuggly and sweet with a smile that could melt anyone's heart, and generally does. You love your brother so much and try so hard to keep up with him. And he loves you too! The two of you are best buddies and I hope you always will be. You and I had the breastfeeding thing down. We never had any trouble with that. And I'm happy to say we made it 9 months without a single bottle of formula. We would have made it longer of baby brother hadn't decided to surprise us all!
